The Canadian Animal Health Coalition works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify issues of concern and uses a project based approach to find solutions and demonstrate opportunities for policy and program change.
Projects are managed by the CAHC through an internal structure of a Project Manager, a Project Coordinator, and a Financial Manager. All projects are audited as part of the organizational audit and individually as may be required in the project agreement.
Funding for projects is from industry and government. Government funds are primarily through programs of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency but may include other government sources if applicable. In addition to cash contributions, industry and federal and provincial governments make in-kind contributions to projects undertaken by the CAHC.
