Canadian Johne’s Disease Initiative (2006 – 2013) was developed by CAHC to control Johnes Disease, a continuing serious livestock production disease in the Canadian ruminant industry. CJDI promoted provincial JD program delivery, increased research, on–farm producer-veterinarian risk assessment, and national program standards.

The attached summary ‘lessons learned’ report contains key project outputs. CJDI was the preliminary framework or approach platform for today’s livestock industry BIOSECURITY-based approach to disease control.
